CDM Procedures implementation & "Method Statement Evaluation" |
Aims
To minimise the likelihood of compromise and conflicts of interest occurring where all duty holders are in house.
This course is designed to be tailored to company specific procedures.
Objectives
At the end of the course each delegates should:
- Understand the requirements of the CDM duty holders and what is expected of them;
- Conduct a meaningful dialogue with all duty holders in relation to any CDM issues e.g. risk management, residual risk and transfer/dissemination of information;
- Compile the pre-construction health and safety information pack;
- Assess competence and resource allocation;
- Review the construction health and safety plan; and
- Understand the range of information the Health and Safety File requires.

- Overview of CDM 2007
- Your company procedures
- Various Roles under CDM 2007
- Site Visit Record information gathering
- Ensuring hazards have been identified and residual risk is being effectively transferred via adequate information
- Site Drawings issued - Architects, Engineers, other drawings
- Ground Investigation Reports
- Adjudication, has due allowance been made to ensure identified risks will be managed
- Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan
- Compilation of Health & Safety File
- Selection and Vetting of Sub Contractors and ensuring competence
